FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ferrous metallurgy, particularly to lining of oxygen converter with detachable bottom. Lining of the lower part of the converter with a detachable bottom consists of lining of the detachable bottom of the converter, which are joined to each other and lining of converter walls lower part made of moulded refractory articles arranged in alternating rows, moulded refractory products of converter junction and ramming refractory mass intended for filling formed gap between lining. Value of dressing of moulded refractory article of one row of lining of lower part of walls of converter relative to other row is 0.01–0.50 of length of said moulded refractory article. At that, between horizontal rows of lining of lower walls of converter there is material for compensation of shrinkage of lining of lower rows at height from 20–1500 mm from first row of masonry of lower part of wall of converter.
EFFECT: result is increased resistance of converter due to exclusion of metal penetration in process of steel melting in joint of refractory masonry of converter walls and bottom.
