FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ferrous metallurgy, particularly, to oxygen converter with detachable bottom lining. Moulded refractory articles used in junction or gap masonry, have on one side angle of inclination of end surfaces on side of lower part of walls of converter α1, equal to 0.5–25° and corresponding to angle of inclination of tangent α2, drawn along extreme points of moulded refractory products in lower part of walls of converter, and on opposite side inclination angle of end surface α3 adjacent to detachable bottom lining is equal to 0.5–25° and corresponding to inclination angle of extreme line α4 of lining of lining bottom.
EFFECT: invention provides increased resistance of converter due to exclusion of metal penetration in process of steel melting into joint of refractory masonry of walls of converter and bottom.
