FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ferrous metallurgy, particularly, to oxygen converter with detachable bottom lining. In the lower part of the converter lining with a detachable bottom containing lining of the detachable bottom of the converter and lining of the lower part of the converter walls lining each other, made from molded refractory products, arranged in rows with alternation, molded refractory articles of converter junction and ramming refractory mass intended for filling of gap between lining, value of dressing of molded refractory article of one row of lining of lower part of walls of converter relative to other row is 0.01–0.50 of length of said molded refractory products. Dressing is performed alternatively on the side of the lining of the lower part of the converter walls or on the side of the molded refractory products of the converter junction. At that, between horizontal rows of lining of lower walls of converter there is material for compensation of shrinkage of lining of lower rows at height from 20–1,500 mm from first row of masonry of lower part of walls of converter.
EFFECT: result is increased resistance of converter due to exclusion of metal penetration in process of steel melting in joint of refractory masonry of converter walls and bottom.
