FIELD: electrochemical technologies.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrochemical technologies, namely to devices for the utilization of carbon dioxide, and can be used to purify the air of working premises, reduce gas emissions from industrial enterprises, protect the environment and reduce the greenhouse effect. A device for the utilization of carbon dioxide is presented, containing a working body, vertically mounted electrodes, and an electric power supply unit connected to all electrodes. Anode and cathode alternate with each other. The device contains a system for dissolving carbon dioxide in water, a system for supplying water to the working body, and a system for removing electrolysis products. It also contains a system for preparing water for dissolving carbon dioxide, connected to a system for supplying it to the working body. The system for dissolving carbon dioxide in water is located inside the working body and is combined with the electrolysis system. The device has systems for cooling water inside the working body, supplying carbon dioxide into it, removing gaseous products of electrolysis, connected to a system for releasing unutilized carbon dioxide from them, connected to a system for supplying it to the working body. The system for removing water from the working body with solid products of electrolysis is connected to a system for its purification, connected to a system for preparing water for dissolving carbon dioxide. The systems for supplying carbon dioxide to the working body and removing gaseous products of electrolysis from it are made in the form of a perforated pipe passed through holes in the lower and upper parts of the electrodes, respectively. The systems for supplying water to the working body and removing water from it with solid products of electrolysis are made in the form of a perforated pipe passed through holes in the upper and lower parts of the electrodes, respectively.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to increase the degree of carbon dioxide utilization, to reduce the amount of water used in this case, and thereby to increase the efficiency of the device.
