FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy, in particular to the dephosphorization of molten iron in a converter with top and bottom blast. The position of the upper surface of the slag is measured, while the position of the upper surface of the molten iron is measured in advance; a slag top surface position difference calculation step for calculating a slag layer thickness which is a difference between the measured positions of the molten iron and slag top surfaces, and a jet injection condition adjusting step using the obtained slag layer thickness value, designed to regulate the jet injection conditions of the oxygen-containing gas injected by the jet from the overhead lance within the proper range. The jet injection conditions for injection from above are adjusted based on a comparison of the thickness of the slag layer and the depth of the depression on the surface.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to stabilize the supply of iron oxide to the slag-metal interface, and also prevents the metal from splashing out of the converter.
