SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of reducing the biofilm formation of Proteus vulgaris with a therapeutic composition. The following is proposed: a method of reducing the biofilm formation of Proteus vulgaris with a therapeutic composition containing silver nanoparticles and enrofloxacin, the said method is adding 0.2 ml of meat-peptone broth, 0.2 ml of enrofloxacin with a content of active ingredient 50 mg/ml and 0.2 ml 1.5⋅106 cfu/ml of the reference strain of Proteus vulgaris ATCC 6380 or isolate of Proteus vulgaris isolated from cattle with a clinical manifestation of an infectious disease, followed by incubation for 24 hours at T=37.5± 0.5°C, the result of the decrease in biofilm formation is determined by the change in the intensity of biofilm formation by measuring the optical density on a spectrophotometer at a wavelength of 492 nm.

EFFECT: above invention allows to reduce the biofilm formation of Proteus vulgaris by a therapeutic composition containing silver nanoparticles and enrofloxacin.
