SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to study the destruction of biofilms. A method for studying the fight against E. coli biofilms with a preparation containing silver nanoparticles consists in adding 0.2 ml of meat-peptone broth and 0.2 ml of 1.5×106 CFU/ml reference E. coli strain ATCC 25922 or E. coli isolate isolated from cattle with clinical manifestations of an infectious disease, followed by incubation for 24 hours at T=37.5±0.5°C. The result of the biofilm control study is determined by the change in the intensity of biofilm formation, by measuring the optical density on a spectrophotometer at a wavelength of 492 nm.

EFFECT: invention allows evaluating the ability of silver preparations to prevent the formation of E. coli biofilms.
