SUBSTANCE: invention is a method of reducing biofilm formation by Streptococcus pyogenes with a drug containing silver nanoparticles, which includes adding 0.2 ml of meat-peptone broth and 0.2 ml of 1.5⋅106 CFU/ml reference strain Streptococcus pyogenes ATCC 19615 or Streptococcus pyogenes isolate isolated from cattle with clinical manifestations of an infectious disease, followed by incubation for 24 hours at T = 37.5± 0.5°C, the result of reducing biofilm formation is determined by the change in the intensity of biofilm formation by measuring the optical density on a spectrophotometer at a wavelength of 492 nm.
EFFECT: invention allows to reduce biofilm formation by Streptococcus pyogenes.
