SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy and can be used to control a converter furnace. The system comprises a first electrode positioned so that its front end is immersed in the slag formed above the molten iron alloy bath in the converter furnace, a second electrode located in contact with the molten iron alloy bath or slag, a power supply device that supplies direct current to the first electrode and the second electrode through the slag, and a control device, which regulates the direct current so that it does not exceed the pre-set maximum output current, while the first electrode is a hollow upper lance for oxygen blowing.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to simplify treatment for the reduction of iron in slag during the processing of slag by reforming.
