FIELD: video encoding.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to means for video encoding. For the horizontal and vertical components of each of the motion vector differences, a truncated unary code and exponential Golomb code are obtained from the data stream. The truncated unary code is decoded using context-adaptive binary entropy decoding with one context per bin position of the truncated unary code. Wherein the context is shared by the horizontal and vertical components of the difference of motion vectors. The exponential Golomb code is decoded using the constant equiprobability bypass mode to obtain the horizontal and vertical components of the motion vector difference. The video is reconstructed based on the horizontal and vertical components of the motion vector differences.
EFFECT: improving the efficiency of video encoding.
