SUBSTANCE: invention relates to video encoding means. Syntax elements are decoded based on one or more of multiple contexts used in binary entropy decoding. Decoding includes, when decoding video slice data, initialisation of at least one of the plurality of contexts based on at least a quantisation parameter associated with this slice and the slope value of the initialisation equation. Inclination value is output based on the four-bit portion of 8-bit initialisation value associated with said at least one context. Video is reconstructed based on entropy decoded syntax elements and quantisation parameter.
EFFECT: high efficiency of video encoding.
