FIELD: measuring equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to determine the level of dielectric liquid in a tank with high precision. In particular, invention can be used for measuring the level of petroleum products, liquefied gases, etc. In a level measurement apparatus containing two segments of a coaxial long line, positioned vertically, wherein the lower ends of said segments are aligned with the bottom of the tank, the segments are connected to the input of the corresponding electronic unit, the outputs of the electronic units are connected to the corresponding inputs of a functional converter, the output whereof is connected with a recorder, the segments of the coaxial long line are made as coaxially positioned one inner and two hollow cylindrical converters; wherein one segment of the coaxial long line is formed by the inner conductor and the inner surface of the middle cylindrical conductor, and the other one is formed by the outer surface of the middle cylindrical conductor and the outer cylindrical conductor; the segments of the coaxial long line at the lower ends thereof comprise corresponding terminal horizontal sections equal in length, discontinuously filled with liquid and emptied, accordingly, when the liquid enters the tank and is removed from the tank.
EFFECT: increased accuracy of measurement.
