LOCKING AND SEALING DEVICE Russian patent published in 2022 - IPC E05B39/02 F16G11/04

Abstract RU 2778347 C1

FIELD: objects sealing.

SUBSTANCE: invention is intended for locking with sealing of objects in which it is advisable to use a flexible connection in the form of a piece of cable, for example, such as wagons and containers of railway transport, goods-sheds, warehouses, shops, stalls, hatches and cars, as well as transported goods in any mode of transport . The locking and sealing device contains a cable segment, one end (1) of which is rigidly fixed in the housing (2), and the second end (3) of the cable segment, when locked, is passed through the cavity (4) of the housing (2) and fixed in it by means of two detachable elements (5) spring-loaded with a conical compression spring (6). The end surface of each detachable element (5), facing the inlet of the housing (2), is made in the form of a semi-cylindrical surface, the central longitudinal axis of which is perpendicular to the central longitudinal axis of the semi-cylindrical recess (7). The opposite end surface of the detachable element (5), facing the outlet of the housing (2), is made flat. The frame (24) for accommodating detachable elements (5) is made of a flat sheet material by bending it to form two parallel flat sides (25) placed opposite each other, and also with two end sides, one of which (26) has a semi-cylindrical shape and is made with a through hole (27), the diameter of which corresponds to the diameter of the cable section. The outer surface (28) of the other end side of the frame (24) is made with a protrusion (29), which is designed to center the spring that springs the detachable elements (5). The protrusion (29) is made with a through hole (30), the diameter of which corresponds to the diameter of the cable segment, and a flat annular surface, which serves as a stop for the spring that springs the detachable elements. The central longitudinal axes of the through holes in the end sides of the frame coincide. The diameter of the semi-cylindrical surface forming one of the end surfaces of each detachable element (5) corresponds to the inner diameter of the semi-cylindrical end surface of the frame (24). Both detachable elements (5) can be placed inside the frame (24) with minimal gaps around the perimeter. To interact with the semi-cylindrical end surface of the frame, a semi-cylindrical surface (32) is made in the housing cavity (2), the diameter of which corresponds to the diameter of the outer surface of the semi-cylindrical end surface of the frame. The outlet plug protrusion is made with an external truncated conical surface, the taper of which is 7°-11° to ensure a minimum gap between the end surface of the outlet plug conical protrusion and the end surface of the frame protrusion (24) after the final locking of the device.

EFFECT: increased reliability of the locking and sealing device, its resistance to unauthorized opening, due to the exclusion of the possibility of influencing the elements fixing the cable segment through the inlet and outlet openings of the housing.
