FIELD: microbiology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for adaptation of anaerobic bacterial strains in an oxidizing environment and its use in the development of new probiotics. A method for adaptation of anaerobic bacterial strains and selection of more oxygen-tolerant anaerobic bacterial strains is proposed, including stages of cultivation of the specified bacterial strains, using phase double induction of oxidative stress, using applied pressure and oxygen diffusion, and phase changing in the ratio of concentrations of antioxidant/oxidized variant for correction of a redox status. A method for the production of oxygen-adapted anaerobic bacterial strains, as well as oxygen-adapted bacterial strains used as probiotic are also proposed.
EFFECT: bacterial strains, which show an increased level of tolerance to the surrounding air compared to an initial or parent strain, which is not adapted to oxygen.
