METHOD FOR PREDICTING A HIGH RATE OF HEMOGLOBIN DEGRADATION IN FETUSES WITH HEMOLYTIC DISEASE AFTER INTRAUTERINE INTRAVASCULAR BLOOD TRANSFUSION Russian patent published in 2022 - IPC A61B5/145 G01N33/50

Abstract RU 2778601 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of medicine, namely obstetrics and gynecology, and can be used to predict the rate of hemoglobin degradation in a fetus with hemolytic disease after intrauterine intravascular blood transfusion. To do this, the partial pressure of carbon dioxide, the level of lactate, the C3 component of the complement in the umbilical cord blood of the fetus taken during cordocentesis preceding intrauterine intravascular blood transfusion is determined. Next, the prognostic index D is calculated using the original mathematical formula. At a value of D≤-0.18, a high rate of hemoglobin degradation in the fetus is predicted. At a value of D >-0.18, it is concluded that there is no risk of a high rate of hemoglobin degradation in the fetus.

EFFECT: method makes it possible to predict a high rate of hemoglobin degradation by calculating a prognostic index, which optimizes the timing of repeated intrauterine hemotransfusions.
