FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medicine. A method for diagnosing the functional state of ophthalmic contact lenses consists in exposing the contact lens fixed on the anterior segment of the eye to a luminous flux in the following modes: 280, 435, 546 and 671 nm. With each mode, digital photo registration of the contact lens is performed. The zones of the presence of protein deposits are determined by the presence of tryptophan fluorescence in the wavelength range of 340-380 nm with a peak of 350 nm. The assessment of the presence of protein deposits on the surface of the contact lens is determined by the parameters of the localization of fluorescence over the area of the contact lens in digital images, the functional state of the contact lens according to the data obtained is classified into three degrees, of which the zero degree corresponds to the absence of fluorescence in the area of the contact lens with the possibility of its further use, the first degree corresponds to a single fluorescence, no more than 10% inclusive of the total area of the contact lens, with a limited time of use of the lens, the second degree, in which the area of the fluorescence sites is more than 10% of the total area of the contact lens, requiring urgent replacement of the lens. A method for diagnosing the functional state of ophthalmic contact lenses is carried out using a device including an obturator made of a light-tight elastic material whose geometric shape repeats the anatomical shapes of the orbital part of the face, an optical unit combined with a photo-recording unit, a lighting unit with light sources creating a luminous flux with a wavelength of 671 nm, 546 nm, 435 nm, a data processing unit. The lighting unit additionally includes a light source that creates a luminous flux in the wavelength range of 280 nm.
EFFECT: increase in the reliability of diagnostics of the functional state of ophthalmic contact lenses with the possibility of using a device that provides standardization of examination conditions and the use of objective examination methods, as well as processing the results obtained, including in the remote version.
