FIELD: shipbuilding and renewable energy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of shipbuilding and renewable energy, in particular, to sea-based wind power plants. The sailing power plant contains a catamaran symmetrical with respect to the bow and stern, on which masts with a system for changing the position of sails are installed, and an impeller of a hydroelectric generator is attached to the bottom of the catamaran hull, connected by an electric cable to a rotary contact device installed on a buoy fixed with a load on the seabed in cable connection point from an external consumer of electricity. For a catamaran, the area of its movement is introduced in the form of a circle with a diameter D with a center at the location of the buoy, in which the catamaran moves automatically on a Gulfwind course. The catamaran is equipped with a wind speed and direction sensor, an autopilot and an automatic motion control system.
EFFECT: increase in the efficiency of using the kinetic energy of the wind by a sailing power plant is achieved by changing the trajectory and organizing its movement.
