THREE-DIMENSIONAL POLYMER MESHES AND THEIR USE Russian patent published in 2022 - IPC G01N33/543 C08J3/24 C08J3/75 C12Q1/68

Abstract RU 2780656 C2

FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for the production of a three-dimensional hydrogel mesh having one or more transport channels. The method includes: (a) treatment of a mixture including: (i) at least two types of monovalent alkali metal ions having a total concentration of at least 500 mM, (ii) water-soluble polymer chains, (iii) fragments of a crosslinking reagent, and (iv) optionally probe molecules, under conditions providing the formation of salt crystals, optionally in which the mixture is on the surface of substrate, and optionally in which conditions providing the formation of salt crystals contain dehydration of the mixture or cooling of the mixture, as long as the relative salt content in the mixture does not increase to exceed the solubility limit, thereby forming a mixture containing one or more salt crystals; (b) crosslinking of polymer chains in the mixture containing one or more salt crystals, thereby forming hydrogel containing one or more salt crystals; and (c) interaction of hydrogel containing one or more salt crystals with a solvent, in which one or more salt crystals are soluble, thereby dissolving salt crystals; and thereby obtaining a three-dimensional hydrogel mesh, which contains one or more transport channels. A three-dimensional mesh, an array, a method for its production, and a method for determination of whether the analyzed substance is contained in a sample are also proposed.

EFFECT: proposed three-dimensional meshes can link larger amount of the analyzed substance coming through transport channels, which provides higher sensitivity in the detection of the analyzed substance and quantitative determination in a wider range of concentrations of the analyzed substance.
