METHOD FOR PREDICTING THE SEVERITY OF MOTOR DISORDERS IN CHILDREN WITH CONGENITAL BRAIN DAMAGE Russian patent published in 2022 - IPC G01N33/50 A61B5/145

Abstract RU 2781741 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely, to neurology, and can be used to predict the severity of motor disorders in children with congenital brain damage. The genotype of the foetus or the child is examined. If a number of genes are detected, a mild degree of motor disorders, corresponding to 1 point on the GMFCS scale, is predicted. If a number of genes are detected, a mild degree of motor disorders, corresponding to 2 points on the GMFCS scale, is predicted. If a number of genes are detected, an average degree of motor disorders, corresponding to 3 points on the GMFCS scale, is predicted. If a number of genes are detected, a severe degree of motor disorders, corresponding to 4 points on the GMFCS scale, is predicted. If a number of genes are detected, a severe degree of motor disorders, corresponding to 5 points on the GMFCS scale, is predicted.

EFFECT: possibility of predicting the mild, moderate, or severe degree of motor disorders, graded according to the international gross motor function classification system (GMFCS), by determining a number of genes.
