FIELD: mechanical engineering and instrumentation.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of mechanical engineering and instrumentation, and in particular to technologies for the formation of highly porous metal oxide coatings on titanium products, including medical products. The method for forming porous metal oxide coatings on titanium products includes air-abrasive treatment, cleaning from process contaminants, electroplasma spraying of titanium hydride powder with a dispersion of 120-150 microns from a distance of 120-150 mm, with a plasmatron arc current of 350±10 A and a power of not more than 12 .5 kW, then the coated titanium product is subjected to induction heating up to 750-1150°C in an air atmosphere at normal pressure, current frequency 60±10 kHz and specific electrical power consumption 30-45 kW/kg, followed by holding for 120-300 s and air-cooled to room temperature.
EFFECT: invention is aimed at obtaining coatings up to 300 µm thick with increased adhesive-cohesive strength, open surface porosity 58±2% and microhardness HV0.98 1503±116.
