FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of metallurgy and can be used in casting with crystallization under pressure. A method for controlling the process of casting aluminum alloys with crystallization under pressure includes pouring an aluminum alloy superheated by 150°C above the melting temperature into a vacuum mold heated to 200°C. Pressure is applied to the crystallizing metal with an increase in the pressure value up to 500 MPa, the metal is kept under pressure until the crystallization process is completed, and the casting is removed from the mold. The crystallization process is controlled by maintaining the vacuum value in the mold at a given level using an electromagnetic valve built into the vacuum channel, the opening-closing mode of which depends on the pressure sensor readings installed in the vacuum system. Maintaining pressure in the vacuum booster pump is also carried out based on the readings of the built-in pressure sensor.
EFFECT: invention provides control of the process of evacuation of the form in the process of casting with crystallization under pressure and the formation of the specified structural and mechanical properties of parts.
