SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to provision of a device, a system, and a method for the generation of a sound with six degrees of freedom (hereinafter – 6DoF), in particular in connection with representation of data and structures of bit streams for the generation of 6DoF sound. The claimed method for encoding of a sound signal to a bit stream, in particular by an encoding device, includes encoding or inclusion of sound signal data related to the generation of 3DoF sound into one or more first parts of the bit stream, and encoding or inclusion of metadata related to the generation of 6DoF sound into one or more second parts of the bit stream. The present invention additionally relates to methods, a device, and systems for decoding of a sound signal and generation of a sound based on a bit stream.

EFFECT: provision of a possibility of representation of data and/or structures of bit streams for encoding of 3D sound and/or generation of 3D sound, which allows for effective encoding and/or formation of 6DoF sound, preferably with backward compatibility for the generation of 3DoF sound, for example, according to MPEG-H 3DA standard.
