FIELD: ferrous metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of ferrous metallurgy, namely the production of iron ore pellets. The formation of a ledge on the bottom of the pelletizer is carried out, the charge is fed into the pelletizer in two streams, the first charge stream is introduced into the gas flow with the formation of a gas-moist charge jet, pore-forming additives are fed into the gas-moist charge jet, in the form of particles of plant origin crushed to an acicular state, previously soaked in sulfite yeast brew for 0.1-3.0 h at a temperature of 30-90°C. After soaking the particles, a shell of coal fines is formed on the surface of the particles by mixing the indicated components in a drum mixer, and the particle size of the coal fines does not exceed 0.5 mm, and its amount is 5-25% of the mass of particles of plant origin. Next, on the bottom of the pelletizer, a zone occupied by the charge is formed, and a zone free from the charge, the charge is sprayed onto the ledge in the zone free from the charge, to obtain a dense layer of wet charge. The mentioned layer of the wet charge is divided into germs, the germs are pelletized to pellets with the charge of the second flow, they are dried, calcined and reduced.
EFFECT: increase in the number of open pores in the structure of the pellets and increase in the degree of recovery.
