FIELD: ferrous metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ferrous metallurgy, particularly, to production of iron-ore pellets. Scull is formed on pelletiser bottom, wet charge is loaded into pelletiser in two flows. Coal fines are fed into the first flow of the charge in amount of 2–6% of its consumption and mixed with crushed cuttings of synthetic foam rubber preheated to 30–90°C waste engine oil processing sludge in amount of 1–8% of charge flow rate of the first flow. Obtained mixture is introduced into compressed air flow with formation of gas-moisture-coal charge jet, at pelletiser bottom zone occupied by charge and zone free from charge are formed, nucleation is carried out by sputtering the charge with a gas-moisture-coal charge jet, which is oriented towards the skull in the zone free from the charge, so that a dense layer of a wet charge is obtained. Said dense layer of wet charge is divided into nuclei, scull is cleaned from nuclei, pellet shell is formed by final pelletizing of nuclei with charge of second flow to pellets.
EFFECT: higher sputtering coefficient, increased strength of nuclei and pellets, reduced fuel consumption during heat treatment.
