FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medicine and can be used to restore and protect the functional properties of neuronal tissues in neurodegenerative disorders, in particular, in Parkinson's disease. Method for studying the neuron protection in neurodegenerative diseases is characterised by irradiating the cell culture with near-infrared laser radiation at a wavelength of 1,267 nm with an irradiation dose of 65 to 187 J/cm2 under additional control of the surface temperature of the cover glass with the studied cell culture in order to generate low doses of singlet oxygen. Apparatus for studying the neuron protection in neurodegenerative diseases comprises a personal computer with software; drivers connected in parallel thereto, each linked with a corresponding power supply unit and connected via a corresponding source of continuous laser radiation to a fibre-optic cable linked with a collimator; and, connected in series, a precision temperature sensor included in a bridge measurement circuit with compensation for the conversion function non-linearity, an analogue-to-digital converter of the data collection board, and series-connected photodiode detector and power meter.
EFFECT: possibility of raising the survival rate in iPSC-derived human neurons with mutations associated with various hereditary forms.
