FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to additives in a diesel fuel composition. A method for control of deposits in a modern diesel engine having a high-pressure fuel system is proposed. In this case, the method includes combustion in the engine of the diesel fuel composition including, as an additive, a product of reaction of optionally substituted polycarboxylic acid or its anhydride and alcohol having the formula ROH, where R is an unsubstituted alkyl, alkenyl, or aryl group, and the additive includes compounds having the formula (C1) or (C2), where R1 is an unsubstituted alkyl or alkenyl group. The use of a composite ester compound as a washing additive is also disclosed.
EFFECT: reduction or prevention of the formation of deposits in a diesel engine.
