FUEL AS A COMPONENT OF ENERGY CONDENSED SYSTEMS AND A METHOD FOR ITS PRODUCTION Russian patent published in 2022 - IPC C06B33/00 C06B45/18

Abstract RU 2784154 C1

FIELD: energy condensed systems.

SUBSTANCE: inventions group can be used in the manufacture of high-calorie components of energy condensed systems (ECS), such as gunpowder, pyrotechnic and explosive compositions, mixed solid rocket fuels. Fuel as a component of energy condensed systems contains boron particles clad with metal oxide. As a metal oxide, it contains vanadium (V) oxide in the following ratio, wt.%: boron - 99-97, vanadium (V) oxide - 1-3. To obtain fuel, amorphous boron is mixed with a gel based on vanadium (V) oxide at a ratio of components, wt.%: boron - 85.0-62.7, vanadium (V) oxide gel - 37.3-14.5. A gel of nominal composition V2O5⋅H2O with a vanadium content of 5.5-6.0 wt.% V2O5, or a gel obtained by dissolving ammonium metavanadate NH4VO3 in ethylene glycol HOCH2CH2OH with a vanadium content of 9.8-10 wt.%, when calculated on V2O5, when heated in air at a ratio of components, wt.%: NH4VO3 - 98.0-98.2; HOCH2CH2OH - 1.8-2.0. Drying is carried out at a temperature of 80-200°C for 1-1.5 hours and subsequent heating at a temperature of 300-350°C for 0.5-0.6 hours.

EFFECT: high combustion efficiency is ensured when fuel is used as a component of energy condensed systems (ECS) by increasing the completeness of fuel combustion and ease of production.
