FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the technology for producing metal-organic frameworks (MOF); in particular, to production of a metal-organic framework based on zirconium and benzene-1,4-dicarboxylic acid under conditions of UHF activation; namely, to production of a zirconium-based metal-organic framework by the formula UiO-66, formed by clusters of Zr6O4(OH)4 connected by benzene-1,4-dicarboxylate linkers, potentially applicable as carriers for producing various catalysts in various chemical processes, as adsorbents for collecting carbon dioxide and toxic gases from the atmosphere, and for adsorption or photocatalytic decomposition of various substances and particles in water environment. Presented is a method for producing a zirconium-based metal-organic framework by the formula UiO-66 by mixing a zirconium salt and benzene-1,4-dicarboxylic acid in the presence of a solvent, followed by heating the resulting reaction mixture under the effect of UHF radiation at a temperature of 120 °C, characterised by using zirconium oxychloride by the formula ZrOCl2×8H2O as a zirconium salt and using glacial acetic acid as a solvent, while the reaction mixture is heated under the effect of UHF radiation with a power up to 200 W and a frequency of 2,465 GHz under atmospheric pressure.
EFFECT: higher safety of the process of producing a UiO-66 metal-organic framework, higher yield of the target product, and lower material costs of the process and environmental load.
