FIELD: pharmaceuticals.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the pharmaceutical industry, namely, to a method for quantifying the amount of flavonoids in walnut leaves. A method for quantifying the amount of flavonoids in walnut leaves by extracting raw materials with organic solvents followed by sample preparation and determining the optical density by differential spectrophotometry is the single extraction of raw materials. Ethyl alcohol is used as a solvent extraction agent at a concentration of 80% in the ratio of raw materials: solvent extraction agent 1:30. Extraction time is extraction in a boiling water bath for 30 minutes. The degree of grinding of raw materials is 2 mm. Aluminum chloride is added to the extraction for the complexation reaction for 40 minutes. The quantifying the amount of flavonoids in walnut leaves is carried out at a wavelength of 412 nm in terms of rutin. The content of the amount of flavonoids, X as a percentage, in terms of rutin and absolutely dry raw materials is calculated by the formula . In the absence of a standard sample of rutin, it is advisable to use the theoretical value of the specific absorption index at 412 nm - 240: .
EFFECT: method allows quantifying the amount of flavonoids in the walnut leaves in terms of rutin.
