SUBSTANCE: method relates to medicine, namely to traumatology, orthopedics, neurosurgery, and is intended for endoscopic neurolysis of the axillary nerve. At the first stage, anatomical landmarks are marked, and the point of performing the posterior and posterolateral access is determined. Next, therapeutic and diagnostic arthroscopy of the shoulder joint is performed. At the second stage, the arthroscope in the joint is transferred to the region of the lower pocket of the shoulder joint and a posterolateral approach is performed, through which the lower capsule of the shoulder joint is dissected and the long head of the triceps muscle of the shoulder is visualized, outward from which the axillary nerve is located. At the third stage, decompression of the axillary nerve is performed.

EFFECT: method provides simplification of surgical technique, reduction of operation time and reduction of traumatization of soft tissues due to the set of techniques of the claimed invention.
