SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of metalworking and can be used to restore metal products with surface cracks. The method includes preliminary preparation of the surface of the product and subsequent exposure to it with a pulsed magnetic field, which provides micromelting of the metal in the area of cracks. Before the micromelting effect of the pulsed magnetic field, a metal plate of the same composition as the composition of the product material is applied to the cracks, and the plate is deformed by the compressive effect of the pulsed magnetic field with the energy of at least one magnetic pulse, which ensures that the metal of the said plate is filled into the cracks. As a preliminary preparation of the surface of the product, ultrasonic washing in a solvent is used. The micromelting effect of a pulsed magnetic field is provided by the action of eddy currents on cracks in the direction transverse to the cracks at the magnitude of the mentioned eddy currents from 80 kA to 200 kA.

EFFECT: invention provides welding of surface cracks on metal products in the form of a pipeline without overheating of its material.
