SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to ophthalmology. A patient with primary choroidal melanoma of extramacular localization before treatment undergoes multifocal electroretinography. Changes in the macular zone are determined. With a decrease in the density of the P1 component in the central ring (R1) by 20% or more, an increase in the peak latency of the P1 component in all rings (R1-R5) by 30% or more, an increase in the amplitude of the N1 component in the central ring (R1) by 30 % or more, a decrease in the amplitude of the N1 component by 20% or more in the R4-R5 rings predict a decrease in visual functions after organ-preserving treatment.
EFFECT: invention provides an increase in the patient's compliance with organ-preserving treatment when predicting a decrease in visual functions.
