FIELD: chemical composition determination.
SUBSTANCE: invention is intended for determination of the chemical composition of a substance. The substance of the invention lies in the fact that the sensor of the chemical composition of the substance contains at least one radiation source and at least one radiation photodetector, a waveguide with a sensitive area located on it for placing the substance under study and optically connected to at least one source and with at least one photodetector, moreover, at least one of the waveguide surfaces is made in the form of a cleavage plane obtained by cleaving a single crystal, while the waveguide is made in the form of a stack of single-crystal plates, in which the area for placing the test substance has optical contact with the surfaces obtained by chipping of plates along cleavage planes.
EFFECT: providing the possibility of developing a sensor for the chemical composition of a substance having an extended scope.
