SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to dentistry, and can be used to detect hidden pathological foci, inflammation and determine its intensity in the studied area of the oral mucosa, including when using dental dentures. A marker for diagnosing pathological and inflammatory reactions of the oral mucosa and correcting orthopedic structures consists of a cylindrical reservoir with a removable plug at its base. The reservoir has a cone-shaped end with a removable cap to prevent the fibrous felt rod from drying out and a hole in which a removable fibrous felt rod of rounded, beveled, straight or bullet-shaped shape is placed, made with the ability to be impregnated with the diagnostic solution contained in the marker reservoir. The tank on two inner side surfaces has one row of trapezoidal blades, directed alternately obliquely to each other at an angle of 45 degrees, for metered supply of the diagnostic solution into the fibrous rod.

EFFECT: use of the invention makes it possible to economically, dosed and evenly apply a diagnostic solution to the pathologically altered oral mucosa, the area of wound surfaces after surgical interventions, injured areas of the mucosa to detect a pathological inflammatory process in an outpatient dental appointment.
