DEVICE FOR FIXING THE MAMMARY GLANDS DURING EXAMINATIONS AIMED AT DETECTING NEOPLASMS Russian patent published in 2023 - IPC A61B17/122 A61F5/37

Abstract RU 2790758 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of medicine and can be used in the detection of non-palpable masses using combined ultrasound and magnetic resonance navigation (Fusion), followed by a core biopsy. A device for fixing the mammary gland in the supine position when detecting non-palpable masses using combined ultrasound and magnetic resonance navigation with subsequent core-biopsy is a flat 20-25 mm thick patch made of elastic washable material, made in the form of a straight prism with rectangular bases and central cylindrical hole. The height of the hole is parallel to the height of the prism, and the diameter corresponds to that of the fixed mammary gland. Herewith, the patch has four symmetrical holes with a diameter of 10 to 12 mm to mark of the patch location on the skin and facilitate combining its location during ultrasound and magnetic resonance imaging. These holes are located on a circle with a radius of 80 mm drawn from the center of the central hole and passing through the centers of the said four holes.

EFFECT: reliable and accurate fixation of the mammary glands is achieved.
