SUBSTANCE: method of ultrasonic velosymmetry for assessing the state of hard tissues of teeth, which includes the following steps: adaptive cuffs are installed on the housings of the piezoelectric transducers of the dental ultrasonic densitometer transmitting and receiving the ultrasonic signal, oriented along the direction of signal propagation, gel for ultrasonic studies of high viscosity is applied to the protector area of the piezoelectric transducers to the level edges of the adaptive cuffs, the piezoelectric transducers are stabilized on the investigated area of the object under study with a positioner, the value of the ultrasonic signal velocity is determined using a dental ultrasonic densitometer, the difference between the ultrasonic signal velocity determined in this way and the predetermined reference velocity is calculated, and the condition of the hard tissues of the tooth is judged.
EFFECT: using this method ensures an increase to a statistically significant accuracy of assessing the state of hard tissues of the teeth by ultrasonic shadow velosymmetry as a result of reducing the spread of ultrasonic signal velocity indicators in the object under study.
