SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods for creating jet thrust based on electrodeless plasma magnetohydrodynamics. In the proposed method, radiation of the microwave range of wavelengths is used under ECR conditions in a collisionless mode, whereas the radiation energy is transferred to the energy of electrons transverse to the magnetic field, and in the output magnetic nozzle such a spatial distribution of the magnetic field is created that provides adiabatic expansion of the plasma flow, which creates the conditions for the transition of the transverse energy of electrons to the longitudinal one, and effective acceleration of plasma ions occurs due to the ambipolar field of charge separation. The developed device uses a microwave radiation source, a quasi-optical electrodynamic system that directs radiation to a zone where ECR conditions are met and electrons are heated in a collisionless mode, the implementation of which is ensured by selecting the operating conditions of the gas puffing system.

EFFECT: increasing the efficiency of using the operating medium in jet engines by increasing its flow rate.
