SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a system for generating an aerosol. The system contains an aerosol generating device and an aerosol generating product containing an aerosol-forming substrate. The device for generating an aerosol contains: a cavity made with the possibility of placing a product for generating an aerosol containing an aerosol-forming substrate; and a mouthpiece made with the possibility of closing the cavity. The aerosol generating device is designed so that when the aerosol generating product is placed in the cavity, and the mouthpiece is closed, a gap is provided between the mouthpiece and the aerosol generating product. The aerosol generating device additionally contains the first sealing element. The first sealing element is located to provide a seal between the cavity and the mouthpiece, and the device contains a second sealing element located in the side wall of the cavity to provide a seal between the side wall of the cavity and the product for generating aerosol, when placing the product for generating aerosol in the cavity.
EFFECT: provision of an aerosol generating device providing an aerosol generating system with improved strength, heating efficiency and hygiene.
