FIELD: biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to biotechnology, namely to reading systems. The reading system includes a pH sensor. The pH sensor includes two electrodes and a conducting channel operatively connected to two electrodes. The complex is attached to the conductive channel of the pH sensor. The complex includes a polymerase associated with at least one pH-altering fragment, which should participate in generating a pH change near the conducting channel as a result of the consumption of a secondary substrate in the liquid affected by the pH sensor. At least one pH-altering fragment is selected from a group consisting of an enzyme, a metal coordination complex, a cofactor and an activator.
EFFECT: expanding the arsenal of means for a specific purpose.
