covalently attached to 3'-carbon atom. Also disclosed is an oligonucleotide, a method of producing a growing polynucleotide complementary to a target single-stranded polynucleotide in a sequencing reaction, method of determining the sequence of a target single-stranded polynucleotide, a kit for use in multiplex sequencing by synthesis, use of a nucleotide in multiplex sequencing by synthesis.
