FIELD: dentistry and experimental medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to create an experimental model of gum recession. First, mechanical excision of V-shaped periodontal tissues from the vestibular surface is carried out in the region of the incisors of the lower jaw of the rat. Then the retraction thread DispodentPak No. 000 is applied to the animals in the area of the lower central incisors in the circular ligament of the tooth to a depth of 1.5 mm, thus artificially creating a gingival defect. To fix and hold the retraction thread in the circular ligament of the tooth, Vitrebond dental glass ionomer cement is applied to the vestibular surface of the tooth neck of the lower incisors. To inhibit the processes of their own regeneration, prednisolone at the rate of 12 mg/kg of animal weight is injected intramuscularly on the 1st, 3rd, and 5th days of the experiment.

EFFECT: method makes it possible to increase the reliability of the pathological process, due to the modelling of gingival recession in the experimental animal, similar in pathomorphological manifestations to gingival recession in humans.
