FIELD: physical and dimensional parameters of a multi-segment rod-shaped product.
SUBSTANCE: segments in a multi-segment rod-shaped product located at its ends are not completely opaque to the light beam. A measuring system (100) for measuring and determining the physical and dimensional parameters of a multi-segment rod-shaped product contains: the first lighting device (1) for generating a light beam (F1) that falls on the front segment (S1) and passes through it; the second lighting device (2) for generating a light beam (F2) that falls on the back segment (S4) and passes through it; an image registration sensor (4) having a pickup axis (Z) that radially strikes the longitudinal axis (X) of the article; and a control and processing unit (7) configured to process images received by the image registration sensor (4) and calculate the dimensional, geometric and physical features of the segments of the specified product (Q).
EFFECT: high resolution image acquisition with high interface contrast between end segments.
