FIELD: ophthalmology.
SUBSTANCE: artificial anterior chamber (APC) includes a base for fixing the graft of the corneoscleral disc. It additionally contains a case with a handle made of titanium alloy. At the same time, the body is made as a hollow stepped cylinder expanding upwards with the formation of a ring-shaped hollow inside the body, the outer diameter of the body at the bottom is 10 mm, the inner diameter is 9 mm, starting at the height of 7 mm, the outer diameter of the body is 11 mm, the inner diameter is 10 mm, total body height - 8.5 mm; a glass plate with a diameter of 10 mm and a thickness of 2 mm is installed in the ring-shaped hollow in the body to visualize manipulations inside the body of the APC. Above the glass plate there is a ring for fixing the glass plate, with an outer diameter of 10 mm, an inner diameter of 9 mm, and a thickness of 1 mm. On the lower surface of the body, a semi-circular dent 0.5 mm deep and 1.0 mm wide is made, which serves to insert the needle into the graft. A port in the form of a tube with a diameter of 2 mm is attached to the side surface of the housing at a right angle, spaced from the lower surface of the housing at a height of 4.8 mm, the length of the side port is 4.5 mm. The base for fixing the graft is made of surgical steel as a 15 mm high monolithic cylinder 20 mm in diameter, on its upper surface there is a brushy semi-circular hollow 18 mm in diameter on which the epithelial side of the graft is laid. In the upper part of the base, at the same angular distance from each other, along the edge of the side there are four semi-circular dents with a depth of 4 mm and a width of 2 mm, one of which is intended for passing the body handle, the others - for passing the needle into the graft along a straight axis through the dent on the body on one side.
EFFECT: technical result of the invention is the possibility of a stable position and controlled excision of the graft, reducing the risk of rupture and damage to the endothelium, as well as the rejection of valuable donor material.
