APPLICATOR AND ELECTROPORATION SYSTEM Russian patent published in 2023 - IPC A61K38/20 A61B5/53

Abstract RU 2792194 C2

FIELD: medical equipment.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to electroporation for increasing permeability of target cells and administering to a patient different drugs of localized action. An applicator for electroporation contains: a control part; an introduced tube connected to the control part, wherein the introduced tube forms a piercing tip; an actuator engaged with the control part, wherein at least part of the actuator is made movable relatively to the control part and the inserted tube; electrodes including the first electrode having the first tip and the second electrode having the second tip, while the mentioned electrodes are made with the possibility of movement between a retracted position and a released position in response to actuation with the actuator; and a drug delivery channel made with the possibility of delivery to a subject of an effective dose of at least one drug. At the same time, a distance between the first tip of the first electrode and the second tip of the second electrode is greater in the released state than in the retracted state, and electrodes and the drug delivery channel are movable relatively to the piercing tip and made with the possibility of passage from the piercing tip, when electrodes are in the released position. An electroporation system is also disclosed.

EFFECT: group of inventions provides a possibility of installation of electroporation devices in hard-to-reach areas.
