FIELD: proteomic analyses.
SUBSTANCE: methods are disclosed for improving the efficiency of proteomic analysis (options), including bringing sample dilutions into contact with capture reagents, incubating the resulting mixtures to enable formation of affinity complexes, sequential release and capture of affinity complexes on solid supports; detection of the presence or determination of the level of capture reagents.
EFFECT: group of inventions ensures that the multiplex analysis remains within the dynamic range of the analysis, that the sensitivity and specificity of the analysis are maximized, and also reduces the likelihood of false positive signals or "noise" in the analysis.
