FIELD: catalytic compositions.

SUBSTANCE: method for producing dried titanated substrate is described, including a) drying the substrate material containing silicon dioxide at a temperature of about 150°C to about 220°C to obtain a dried substrate; b) contacting the dried substrate with methanol to form a suspended substrate ; c) following b), cooling the suspended support to a temperature of less than about 60°C obtaining a chilled suspended substrate; d) following c), contacting the cooled suspended substrate with titanium alkoxide to form the titanated substrate; and e) heat treating the titanated substrate by heating it to a temperature equal to or greater than about 150°C, over a period of time from about 5 hours to about 30 hours to remove methanol and obtain a dried titanated substrate. Described methods are used for producing polymerization catalysts using said substrate.
