FIELD: chemical technologies.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates specifically to production of lithium aluminate, for use as a matrix of fuel cells with molten carbonate, as part of radio-resistant ceramics, and for improving the charge-discharge characteristics of composite positive electrodes of lithium-ion batteries. The method includes heating the initial mixture of a lithium salt, an aqueous solution of 9-aqueous aluminium nitrate, with a Li/Al molar ratio of 1:1, and a gelling agent to the combustion reaction start temperature, followed by grinding the resulting product. At the same time, to obtain the initial mixture, an aqueous solution of aluminium nitrate of a 9-water and gelling agent is heated to 50-75°C until complete dissolution of the components and add a lithium salt. Lithium carbonate is used as a lithium salt, and urea is used as a gelling agent in the amount of 0.4-0.48 kg of CO(NH2)2 per 1 kg of 9-aqueous aluminium nitrate, while annealing is carried out at a temperature of 550-600°C.
EFFECT: polymorphic modification of lithium aluminate with high dispersion and high specific surface area.
