FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to fibre optic cables. It is achieved by a method for the production of a fibre optic cable, including the installation of a central strength element in the form of a fiberglass rod, the installation of optical modules around the central strength element, the imposition of an inner sheath, winding with water-blocking threads, the imposition of an armour cover made of fiberglass rods with an adhesive coating that provides adhesion to the surface of these fiberglass rods with a protective sheath, winding the armour cover with water-blocking threads, overlaying a protective sheath of the cable.
EFFECT: increasing the resistance of the cable structure to bending loads, to torsion, as well as to increase the resistance to tensile loads.
