FIELD: food industry; agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a technology for the disinfection and sterilization of bulk and solid products and can be used for the disinfection of agricultural products, in the food industry, during the storage and drying of grain, as well as for seeds. The method of grain disinfection involves exposure of the processed grain to a cold plasma stream, which is generated in air at atmospheric pressure, due to a negative corona discharge between the anode and cathode at a pulsed voltage. Disinfection is carried out under the combined action of a pulsed electric field and cold plasma with the following parameters: potential difference 8-15 kV, frequency 100 Hz, pulse duration 1-100 ms. The grain is placed on the surface of the anode with a layer thickness of 10 mm, the processing time is 10-30 s.
EFFECT: obtaining a stable disinfecting effect with a minimum duration of exposure, minimizing the risks of mold microflora activation during grain processing, as well as increasing the shelf life of grain crops.
