FIELD: satellite's antenna system.

SUBSTANCE: satellites receiving signals through a satellite dish. Satellite's antenna system contains: an antenna receiver; a plurality of antenna elements connected to the antenna receiver via a plurality of flexible connections, the deployed positions of the plurality of antenna elements being limited to their position along the respective flexible connection, and otherwise unrestricted in one or more spatial dimensions; a preparation processor, configured to receive one or more first signals from an antenna receiver associated with one or more preparation signals from a first transmitter, and associate each of the plurality of antenna elements with the first corresponding arrival time based at least in part on one or more preparatory signals; and a beam weight coefficient processor configured to combine one or more second signals associated with the data signal from the second transmitter received by the antenna receiver in accordance with a plurality of coefficients determined at least in part based on relationships between the plurality of antenna elements and the first respective arrival times.

EFFECT: providing the possibility of detecting a signal with specified characteristics, while the antenna connections can be deployed in space in an uncontrolled manner.
